If you are having trouble deciding between a posed and simple newborn session I made this page to make an additional visual since I get asked the difference often. Please make sure you have read the descriptions on each session page and look through the photo galleries.

Simple newborn session were started when customers asked for a lower cost newborn session. Simple newborn sessions are still posed for the most part, but I eliminate props and advanced baby posing to make the session easier, therefore faster. The simple session takes less time, due to the posing style, which is the main difference in price. All digital files for all collections are the same at $25 each photo. The difference in price for each collection represents the amount of photos included with the session which also reflects the amount of time needed for the session.

Some customers want the props, poses and the details that a posed session provides. Simple sessions are well, more simple, I don't use props other than headbands for girls and wraps. Most baby only posing is done on a bean bag, not in a prop.

A simple session is limited in that I don't use props such as baskets, although with that being said I do often use the moses basket prop during a simple session, which is easy for a wrapped baby. A posed session can use props and have the bean bag posing as well and any other desired posing can be attempted. Often the baby will tell me what to do. If the baby is awake I will pose awake on the beanbag a get those adorable open eyed photos. Props like the moon, heart, baskets etc. are only attempted with a posed session and the baby must be asleep for safety reasons. Getting babies safe, comfy and cute in a prop can take time which is why posed session have a higher price. The amount of time spent and difficulty is higher during a posed session. It also takes more time getting out and arranging the accessories like flowers and decorated backdrops which are only used with a posed session.

Either session you choose will produce beautiful photos of your baby and family. I always take my time with each baby and family to make sure you will have a gallery of beautiful photos to choose from.
