The best time to take posed newborn photos is usually a very small window between seven and fourteen days of age. I usually book newborn sessions in this age range because at that age babies are still sleepy, flexible and they fit into props! Once babies reach about two to three weeks old they become much more alert and well they don't fit into cutsey props. With all of that being said I have never turned down a session because of the babies age. Depending on the babies age on their session date I will still try to pose older babies like a newborn and do my best to get you the photos you want. If you have already had your baby and you are considering a newborn session get the session booked! You won't regret having photos of your baby at any age. She would not let me pose her in a prop, but she was sweet as can be. As you can see we still created some beautiful images for this family.
